ADVERTISEMENT FOR THE POSITION OF STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP MANAGER

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Strategic Partnership Manager with proven ability to develop and manage high-value partnerships across sectors. The ideal candidate should possess strong relationship management, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills, with the capacity to enhance organisational visibility, collaboration, and impact through effective partnerships.

JOB OBJECTIVE:

To lead the development and management of strategic partnerships that support programme growth, strengthen institutional visibility, and advance organisational goals through collaboration with public, private, and development partners.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships across government, private sector, donor, and development organisations.
  • Draft, negotiate, and manage partnership agreements including MoUs and collaboration frameworks.
  • Coordinate internally to ensure effective implementation of partnership initiatives.
  • Represent the organisation at strategic forums to enhance visibility and influence.
  • Track partnership performance and ensure mutual value delivery.
  • Maintain partnership databases, dashboards, and success stories.
  • Strengthen cross-sector collaborations aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Monitor partnership progress and prepare periodic performance reports.
  • Build and sustain long-term partnerships that support programme impact.

EXPERTISE & SKILLS:

Strong partnership development and stakeholder engagement skills. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management abilities. Strategic thinking with capacity to position the organisation for influence and visibility. Good understanding of public-private partnerships and collaboration frameworks. Highly organised with ability to manage multiple partnerships effectively.

QUALIFICATION:

Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Development Studies, Business Administration, Environmental Science, Public Policy, or related field.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION:

Certification in Strategic Partnership Management or Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) is desirable. Project Management certification (e.g., PMP or PRINCE2) is an added advantage.

EXPERIENCE:

7–10 years’ relevant experience in strategic partnership development, donor relations, stakeholder engagement, or corporate collaboration within nonprofit, development, or environmental sectors. Experience managing institutional agreements and multi-stakeholder initiatives is required.
