NCF Was Established

1984

Assisted in developing National Conservation Strategy

1985

Supported the enactment of The Endangered Species Decree.(now an Act of Parliament).

1987

Drafting of National Conservation Strategy.

1990

Established the Lekki Conservation Centre

1992

Established the Hadejia-Nguru wetlands conservation project

1997

Assisted to develop Nigeria’s Vision 2020 on the environment.

1999

Review of the National Parks Decree

1999

Review of the National Forestry Law

2000

Collaborated with the Federal Department of Forestry on the drafting of Nigeria’s National Forestry Law

2002

Established the Niger-Delta Conservation and Sustainable Development (NDCSD) Project.

2005

Embarked on participatory Forest Management Project in Mambilla & Donga sites in Taraba State.

2006

Commenced the Wing over wetlands project in Gombe & Jigawa

2008

Established the Biodiversity Action Plan Project in Edo State.

2012

Led the review of the National Biodiversity Strategic Action Plan.

2017

Organised the first National Summit on the Green Recovery Nigeria (GRN) Initiative

2018

Commenced the implementation of Biodiversity Monitory Action Plan in Niger-Delta.

2020

Enlisted Finima Nature Park as a Ramsar sites
