Position: Audio-Visual Officer
Location: Lekki Conservation Centre, Lagos (Physical, Full Time)
Reporting to: Media & Communications Manager
Job Overview
The Audio-Visual Officer will create and manage NCF’s visual and audio content, supporting the foundation’s mission of environmental conservation and awareness. This role involves conceptualizing, producing, editing, and managing audio and video content for various platforms, documenting NCF events and projects, and ensuring all multimedia content aligns with NCF’s brand and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Production and Management
- Plan, shoot, and edit video and audio content for use across NCF’s digital platforms, including website, social media, and email campaigns.
- Develop high-quality videos for events, educational outreach, promotional materials, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with teams to gather necessary information and capture impactful moments during NCF activities and events.
Event Coverage
- Record and produce live audio-visual coverage of NCF events, campaigns, and community programs, ensuring all key moments are captured.
- Set up and operate video and audio equipment, including cameras, microphones, lighting, and editing software, to ensure seamless production and high-quality output.
Editing and Post-Production
- Edit audio and video content to produce cohesive and professional multimedia materials, including adding effects, transitions, graphics, captions, and music.
- Manage post-production processes, ensuring all content is polished, on-brand, and suitable for distribution across multiple channels.
- Work closely with the Communications team to finalize edits and ensure materials are delivered on schedule.
Visual Content for Campaigns and Projects
- Develop compelling multimedia content to support NCF’s advocacy, fundraising, and public awareness campaigns.
- Create educational videos and visual storytelling pieces that illustrate NCF’s environmental impact, conservation projects, and community work.
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions for new visual content ideas that align with NCF’s goals and engage the target audience.
Equipment Management and Maintenance
- Maintain and manage audio-visual equipment, ensuring all gear is in good working order, up-to-date, and ready for use.
- Oversee equipment inventory and request new purchases as needed for optimal quality and efficiency in production.
- Train relevant staff on basic audio-visual equipment handling and provide on-site support during events and projects.
Collaboration and Cross-functional Support
- Collaborate with the Communications, Marketing, and Project teams to create cohesive content that reflects NCF’s mission and objectives.
- Support social media initiatives with audio-visual content, contributing to increased engagement and awareness.
- Liaise with external contractors when additional production assistance or specialized skills are required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Film, Communication, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional experience in audio-visual production, preferably within an NGO or conservation/environmental organization.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with cameras, audio recording equipment, lighting setups, and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects).
- Editing Skills: Advanced video and audio editing skills, with the ability to create smooth transitions, add effects, and produce high-quality content.
- Content Creation: Ability to produce creative, on-brand multimedia content that captures attention and communicates NCF’s message effectively.
- Multitasking Abilities: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
