The Longest Canopy Walkway in Africa located at the Lekki Conservation Centre (LCC) formally opens on Wednesday, 23rd December 2015. Built by the Lagos State Government through its Ministry of Tourism and Inter-Governmental Relations, the 401 Meters Canopy Walk and the Family Park which boasts Koi and Tilapa Ponds, Jungle gym, outdoor games etc are located within the nature reserve of the Lekki Conservation Centre in Lagos. This is the main attraction to the destination, and at 401 meters long, 0.6 meters wide, 22.5 meters at highest point, the Canopy Walkway is the longest in Africa and the second largest in the World. The Canopy Walkway was officially opened and handed over to the Nigerian Conservation Foundation by by the former Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola on Tuesday, May 5, 2015.
